The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the click here area on a daily basis. The support place created for intervention experiences a large influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
